The right note

Concert Halls are all very well, but music in surprising settings can be even better as atmosphere plays its part. Award- winning pianist Máire Carroll wowed those lucky enough to get in on the secret earlier this year with her Hidden Pianos concerts at Dublin Port. Now she’s playing the Dublin Waterways Visitors Centre on October 12th and 13th for the Hidden Pianos Chords along the Canal sessions. Carroll composes special pieces, inspired by the locations, each time, so expect some watery notes, alongside music from Philip Glass, Gershwin and sounds from Carroll’s own album ROADS. Tickets from ¤ 10 including a drink on arrival. hiddenpianos. com eventbrite. ie
