A ¤91 bucket for your Christmas list

The Irish Times - Monday - Sport - - Soccer - Mary Hannigan

It’s long since been a habit of Marcelo Bielsa to sit himself on something like an upside down bucket rather than take a seat in the dugout during games simply because the former Argentina manager wants to be a little bit closer to the pitch.

When he took over at Leeds United during the summer, though, reporters unfamiliar with that habit questioned him about it. “You want me to tell you more than what it is? It’s just a bucket. I have nothing to add. It’s a comfortable bucket,” he said. It took them a while, but Leeds’ marketing department have finally attempted to cash in on the ‘Bielsa Bucket’. From the Yorkshire Evening Post: “Fans can now get their hands on an official replica bucket from the Elland Road club shop, complete with the adored club badge on the front.” So, if you have any Leeds-loving people in your life, you know what to get them for Christmas. How much? Are you sitting comfortably, on a bucket or otherwise? £80 (¤91). Honest.
