A light swing at art deco

Ca­lypso is a range of pen­dant lights de­signed by Mi­lan-based stu­dio Ser­vo­muto for Con­tardi Light­ing that take their lead from the late art deco pe­riod of the 1940s. Each has a trans­par­ent glass dif­fuser with fab­ric patch­work de­tail­ing, and a silk braided cable. Each carry evoca­tive names of West Indies is­lands: Guadalupe; Mar­tinique and Antiqua. The light comes in two sizes; small 36cm by 60cm, about ¤910 and 39cm by 60cm, and is avail­able in in­door and out­door ver­sions. The out­door de­signs cost ¤1,419 each, the in­door ¤1,040 each from Lomi De­sign in Bal­doyle. lomi.ie ser­vo­muto.com
