Trending . . . The new way to work baroque

The Irish Times - Thursday - Property - - Interiors -

The recently opened Sanguine-Luc Tuymans on Baroque at the Fondazione Prada in Milan is a new way of looking at the extravagant style of art and architecture that was in vogue from the 17th-18th centuries. The artist’s major curatorial project places significant pieces by Old Masters cheek by jowel with contemporary works to great effect. It includes Carla Arocha and Stéphane Schraenen’s Tabac 2007; Jacob Jordaens’s Studies of the Head of Abraham Grapheus, 1620; and Giuseppe Gabellone’s Protect Joseph, 2012.
