Liverpool supporters angry at BBC

Liverpool supporters have accused the BBC of showing a lack of respect for them after the club’s FA Cup third round tie against Exeter was moved to a Friday night, with the last train back to Merseyside departing 90 minutes before the match even kicks off.

Jürgen Klopp’s side will kick off against League Two’s Exeter on Friday January 8th at 7.55pm after the match was selected by the BBC as one of the two third round ties it will show live.

“It’s utterly absurd and shows the contempt in which they hold football supporters,” Jay McKenna, the chairman of Liverpool supporters group Spirit of Shankly, said.

The decision means that Liverpool will now face four away games in the space of just nine days.
