Work placement scheme
WEST Limerick Resources is now taking applications from community groups in the area who wish to participate in the TÚS Initiative.
The community work placement scheme provides short-term working opportunities for unemployed people, where participants support community and voluntary bodies providing a broad range of services of benefit to the local community.
West Limerick Resources is now accepting applications from community and voluntary organisations who want to be included in the TÚS initiative.
The organisations must provide good quality work opportunities that are of benefit to the community and those with a proposed placement should register with West Limerick Resources and submit a detailed proposal, along with the number of participants required. Participants will work for 19 hours a week and the placement lasts 12 months.
Some eligible projects include care-taking, supervising of community buildings and spaces, work in support of cultural and heritage activities, community administration and community event management and coaching for sporting activities, to name but a few.
