SENIOR CITIZENS PARTY: The senior citizen’s party will be held in the Parish Hall in Ballyhahill Sunday next January 22nd SYMPATHY: Sincere sympathy to Bridie Griffin and family, Riverside, Loughill on the sudden unexpected death of her husband Pete on Tuesday morning of last week. Pete’s passing came as a terrible shock to his family and to the whole parish. He was a terrible hard working man, extremely popular and well liked by everyone. He had a great manner, always happy and always in good humour and always ready to have a chat with a neighbour no matter how busy he might be. He was always ready to give a helping hand if a neighbour needed help. He was a very devout Catholic always present at mass and all church ceremonies. He is going to be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife and family and by everyone who knew him. His passing has left a terrible void in the neighbourhood. Huge numbers of people paid their respects Tuesday night and all day Wednesday at his home in Carhubane and at his concelebrated mass and burial in Loughill church yard Thursday .
