SEPTIC TANKS - The next follow on meeting in relation to Septic tank charges and inspection­s and sewage scheme will be held in the Heritage Centre Scartaglen on Monday night January 30 at 8pm. PANTOMIME TIME - Rathmore Marian Players will present the pantomime “Cinderella” in Rathmore Community Centre on Saturday January 28 at 8.30pm, on Sunday January 29 at 3pm (matinee), on Wednesday and Thursday February 1 and 2 at 8pm, on Saturday February 4 at 8.30pm and a final performanc­e on Sunday February 5 at 3pm. DEATH - The death occurred last weekend of Tom Walsh of Mountain View, Killorglin and formerly of Knockreigh. The late Tom was laid to rest in Scartaglen Cemetery. He is survived by his sisters. May he Rest In Peace. SUNDAY NIGHT DANCING -A new series of Sunday night dancing will commence at the Carlton Hotel, Tralee on Sunday night next January 22 when music will be supplied by Pat Costello’s Three Piece Band. Dancing will be from 9-12 pm and admission is E10. Everyone welcome. ST. KIERANS QUIZ - St. Kierans GAA Club are staging a series of fundraisin­g table quizzes in each of the districts which make up the club. The Scartaglen Quiz will take place in Flemings Bar on Saturday night February 4 at 9pm. Tables of 4 E20. Your support will be appreciate­d. Each weekly winner and runner up will qualify for the Grand Final on March 16. There are weekly prizes for the winning team in each case. LADIES FOOTBALL - Scartaglen Ladies Football Club will hold their AGM in the clubhouse on Monday night next January 23 at 7pm. All involved in ladies football in the parish and surroundin­g districts are earnestly requested to attend this very important meeting including parents, as plans will be formulated at this meeting for the coming season so a large attendance is required if activities are to proceed for the coming year.
