THE clash of the day was between leaders Killarney Celtic and third placed Kingdom Boys in Tralee. And it was the home side that were happy afterwards as Kingdom Boys were 4-2 winners to close the gap on Celtic to three points with a game in hand. Cian Liston and Sam Tarrant both scored two for the victors while Celtic’s goals came from Conor Mccarthy and Thando Dube.

Dion Marcos suffered an injury in the game and everyone hopes he is back to his exciting best on the soccer fields in the near future.

Mastergeeha will also have been delighted to hear the score-line from Tralee as their win over Killarney Athletic in Woodlawn mean they are now only one point behind Celtic and the Kilbrean boys also have a game in hand on The Hoops. Dean Fitzgerald scored twice with JJ Herlihy and Sean Twomey both scoring one each.

Listowel Celtic kept in touch with the sides above them as they proved too strong for Fenit and had Ashely Kelliher, Brendan Angland, Cathal Kennedy, Jack Hennessy and Brian Mason all on the score sheet.

Division 1 North

BALLYHAR continued their unbeaten run in this Division and have extended it now to five wins from five played. Donnachda O’sullivan hit a hat-trick, Con Enright, Kian O’callaghan and Jake Flynn one each and an own goal saw them defeat Park B 7-2 at Murt Scott Park.

Killorglin B’s 1-0 win over Camp, thanks to Patrick Daly’s goal means that both sides are level in second place, tied on 10 points.

Division 1 South

THERE was only one game in this Division, but it proved to be a cracker with Killarney Celtic B and Mastergeeha B hitting seven goals between. Celtic B went 3-0 up thanks to two goals from Adam Drew and one from James Mcaulliffe, but Mastergeeha proved a match and hit back with a James Nagle hat-trick. However, Drew completed his hattrick from the penalty spot to earn Celtic their first points of the season.
