Three in running for chair of North Kerry Board
THE Annual General Meeting of the North Kerry Football Board will take place Monday, February 6. Nominations have now closed with seven out of the eleven officer positions filled. Six of these officers positions were returned unopposed: Treasurer: Denis O’ Connor (Moyvane), Assistant Treasurer: Aidan Galvin (Finuge), Development Officer: John Joe Walsh ( Ballylongford), Youth Officer: Tomas Keane ( Moyvane), Scor/cultural Officer: Jack Hennessy ( St Mary’s Asdee), Hon Secretary: Michael Flavin ( Ballydonoghue), Assistant Secretary: Maurice Mannix (Beale).
A new vice-chairman makes his debut on the Board and that is Mikey Kennelly ( Listowel Emmets). The position of PRO and a second vicechairman becomes vacant with no nomination received. These vacant positions will be reviewed once the new Officers Board is complete.
As there are three nominations for the position of Chairman – Tom Dillon nominated by St Senans, Johnny Mulvihill nominated by Listowel Emmets and Billy Enright nominated by Ballylongford. These three nominees have until this Wednesday ( today) to declare and confirm their intentions on contesting the position.
Motion forms and club officer forms are with all of the clubs in the District at present, these forms must be completed and returned to the Secretary on or before 5pm on Monday, January 30.
