‘Kimye’ were NOT in Kerry – official!
DESPITE PERSISTENT rumours that newlyweds Kim Kardashian and Kanye West checked into Ballyseedy Castle, strolled around Dingle and relaxed in Carragh Lake’s luxurious Ard na Sidhe country house during their Irish honeymoon last week, we can confirm that ‘Kimye’ did not visit Kerry as part of their highly publicised trip, even though they had planned to come here.
While a visit to The Kindgom had been on their itinerary, the loved-up couple didn’t make it here according to a spokesperson for the travel company that organised their romantic getaway.
Siobhan Byrne Learat, founder & CEO of luxury travel company Adam & Butler, confirmed that the reality TV star and her rapper husband had a very quiet and relaxing honeymoon in Ireland, but failed to make it to Kerry. “I am sorry to say they were not in Kerry, although we had included it in the original itinerary,” she told The Kerryman this week. “Unfortunately, they just didn’t do it.”
Ms Byrne Learat - whose grandmother hailed from Beaufort - confirmed that the celebrity couple stayed two nights in the exclusive Ballyfin Hotel in County Laois, adding that it was ‘a great honour’ to arrange a visit to some of Ireland’s most gorgeous locations and grand residences.
After returning home to LA, Kim Kardashian raved about Ireland to her 21 million twitter followers, describing their visit as ‘ the most relaxing, romantic honeymoon.’
She explained the couple had spent Kanye’s birthday in Ireland a few years ago and ‘fell in love with it.’
