Range of workshops for the women of Listowel

A NEW initiative delivering workshops on a range of topics for the women of Listowel runs until next week, with just two events left in the series - on styling hair tonight ( Wednesday, June 4) and on how to reduce worry and increase joy ( Wednesday, June 11).

The Just Mise women’s workshops are the brainchild of Mary Coleman and Tina Fallon of Blue Sky Events and were launched in Listowel in recent weeks.

“The emphasis is on offering enjoyable, fun, education and enriching activities for local women and it’s proving to be a great success already,” Mary said.

The workshops have been very busy over the past few weeks with a high number of bookings and the feedback has been very positive.

The ladies of Listowel say they are finding them fun and interesting, giving them the opportunity to learn something new and to take a bit of time out for themselves,” Mary added.

Best of all is the knock-on effect in daily life: “Many are reporting taking positive steps to improve their daily lifes as a result of what they have learned.”

Hair stylist Danny Russell and beauty therapist Mary Boyle are on hand tonight (June 4) in a workshop called Everyday Gorgeous Hair and MakeUp. Next week - June 11 - will see lifecoach and healer Cora Carey deliver a talk entitled Stop Worrying, Start Living, which is sure to make for a very interesting evening.

The workshops are held in the Listowel Arms Hotel at €15 per session. Pre-booking is necessary to be guaranteed a place.
