ALZHEIMERS COLLECTION

Mary Murphy of Adriville wishes to thank most sincerely all those who contribute­d so generously to her recent Alzheimers collection. The final amount came to E1,985 which was handed in last week to the Rosemary Centre in Tralee.

BEREAVEMEN­T GROUP MEETING

The June Rambling House session at Scartaglen Heritage Centre will be held on Monday evening next June 9 at 8.30pm.

GAA LOTTO DRAW

Scartaglen GAA Clubs early June Lotto Draw was held in Flemings Bar on Sunday night last June 1. The jackpot was €15,600 and was not won. Numbers drawn were: 5, 6, 9, 14. Consolatio­n prizewinne­rs in the "Lucky Dip" draw were as follows : €40 - Tado Healy, Ballydesmo­nd ; €30 - Joan Barry O Shea, Farranfore ; Eileen Brosnan, Brosna; €20 - Rita O Donoghue, Mullen; Michelle Lyons, Scartaglen; Michelle Cremin, Knockrour. The next draw will be in Lyons Bar on June 22.

ST. KIERANS

Two Scartaglen footballer­s Padraig Reidy and Mike Coakley played on the St. Kierans team which lost 2-14 to 2-10 to Mid Kerry in the Garveys SuperValu Kerry Senior Football County Championsh­ip played at Castleisla­nd on Sunday last. Padraig lined out at left full back with Mike filling the number 6 position. Regular Scartaglen goalkeeper Martin Hewitt is also a member of the St. Kierans panel.
