Natural Solutions for Hot Flushes

- WITH CLAIR WHITTY

HOT FLUSHES can be very uncomfortable and embarrassing. They may start with a sudden rise of heat right through your body until it explodes in a rush of heat to your head, or you might break out in a sweat with water dripping down your face. Then at night you wake up throwing blankets of yourself only to find that you are freezing shortly after and you'll end up irritable from lack of sleep (at least that was my excuse!)

The worst times for me were standing in queues or dealing with a customer in the shop. I would overheat rapidly and have to strip there and then, but when you're hot, you're hot! But I had to try something so I tried a Homoeopathic remedy called MNO. It's a mixture of homoeopathic remedies to help with all symptoms of the menopause.

But the hot flushes were all I needed help with. And thankfully it worked for me and quite quickly too, and then I stopped taking it. Of course a couple of months later the flushes were back so I took the remedy again and it worked. Now, I just take it when I need it and that works fine for me.

It's great to know that there is some relief available for these wonderful moments in life! Maca is one worth trying. It's a super food and can be used as part of your daily routine added to smoothies or your breakfast cereal.

However, Sage is probably the most popular herbal remedy used to treat hot flushes. It's available in liquid or a tablet. The interesting thing about Sage is that it can help both men or women who overheat and helps with sweaty feet and can ease a sore throat if you gargle with it.

There are many more solutions available, so why suffer when nature can provide us with cures?
