AUDIENCES IN AWE OF MUSICAL SOCIETY’S HOLY SHOW
THE deliberations have been made, the jury has returned and the verdict is in and it’s a fact - Jesus Christ Superstar is a bonafide success!
Audiences flocked in their droves to the Siamsa Tíre theatre in Tralee since last Tuesday night to see the Tralee Musical Society’s latest production, with the general consensus being that director Oliver Hurley and his talented team of cast, crew and support staff have once again raised the bar for what a production should look like.
“Overall it went down a treat, for all of the cast and crew involved, it was just a very rewarding week – everything went to plan, they all had a fantastic time; everyone is just reliving the moments right now, it was very special,” said Emma Quirke, talking to The
Kerryman on Tuesday. “There was great word and build up around the town in the weeks leading up to the show and in the end, it was all sell-out performances for us - so much so that people were probably starting to fight each other for tickets,” she joked.
“Now that we’ve got a chance to get a breather, we’re already looking forward to our next production from our youth members in October – they’ll be performing ‘All Shook Up’.
“The Aims nominations will be released on May 21 so there’ll be excitement to see if we were nominated in any category - we’ll have our fingers crossed just in case,” she finished.
