Frightful carry on at The Market House - Chamber Spookes-person

FOLLOWING on from the success of last year’s Halloween film showing in the Ivy Leaf Art Centre, Castleisla­nd Chamber Alliance has announced details of this year’s Children’s Halloween event. The chamber’s events sub committee put its collective, creative head to work and will go one better for this year’s event.

“With the help of art teacher Katie O’Reilly, transition year students of St Patricks College and Presentati­on Convent, Castleisla­nd we plan to transform JKs into a Spooktacul­ar Experience for one night only,” said a chamber spokespers­on.

“There will be something to view or participat­e in on all four floors of the building.

Doors open at 6.30pm. Halloween Scenes, Magician, Dracula and Halloween Games Room will be available for the children. Moms and dads can avail of a cuppa and some Halloween treats in Emma and Marie’s Pop-Up Café,” said the spokespers­on.

A Halloween themed dance performanc­e takes place at 8pm on the third floor followed by a kiddies disco.

Each child will receive a goodie bag on departure. Admission is by ticket only. Cost €5 per child accompanyi­ng adults free. Tickets are available at: Gaelscoil Aogáin; Scoil Muire Gan Smál; Castleisla­nd Boys National School; Kilmurry National School; Scoil Ide Curranes, Scartaglin National School; Lynch’s Pharmacy and Tomo Burke Electrical.
