FAI Cup exit for Tralee Dynamos Under-17s

-

Tralee Dynamos 1 Douglas Hall 4

TRALEE Dynamos great run in the FAI Under 17 Cup came to an end at Cahermoneen on Sunday when they went down to formidable Cork side Douglas Hall.

Despite losing Dynamos matched their opponents for most of the game but just came up short unable to withstand the stronger fire-power of their opponents up front.

Unfortunately Dynamos lost a number of key players to the Kerry under 17 team and that weakened the team considerably going into this game.

However they performed very well in the first half creating a number of good scoring chances which they failed to convert and trailed 1-0 at the interval.

The visitors made the strong breeze count in the second half adding two more goals before Dynamos pulled one back with a Leo Glaxha goal in the 75th minute.

Any hopes of a major comeback evaporated when the visitors scored a fourth goal.

Before the game the sides observed a minute silence in memory of young Aodhán Ó Conchúir and Amy O’Connor who passed away over the weekend.

Dynamos squad: Darragh Reen, David Smith, Shar Chaudhry, Nemanja Samardzic, Tony Duggan, Derek O’Shea, Leo Gaxha, Brian O’Dowd, Samson Ayali, Adi Cenali, Luke Murphy, Patryk Morawski, Daniel Burke.
