Countdown to St Patrick’s Day
Excitement is building in Listowel ahead of this year’s St Patrick’s Day parade, which promises to be bigger than ever in the North Kerry town thanks to the national Rith event. Rith 2018 sees runners from across the country carrying a very special message from Uachtarán na hÉireann Micheál Ó hUigín all the way to Listowel in time for St Patrick’s Day - a message that will then be read from the main stage by a pupil of Gaelscoil Lios Tuathail. Making the event even more special in Listowel will be the presence of the one and only Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh - special Rith guest on the big day. RTÉ are also in town to broadcast 11am Mass from St Mary’s featuring the powerful Listowel Folk Group live on TV and radio. SEE PG 12
