Cy­cling club’s char­ity out­ing

DIN­GLE Cy­cling Club will hold its an­nual char­ity cy­cle on Satur­day, May 5, with the pro­ceeds of the event go­ing once again to Cam­phill Din­gle, and also to Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuib­hne and other de­serv­ing causes.

The cy­cle, which co­in­cides with Feile na Beal­taine, will start from the Pobalscoil at 9am, trav­el­ling to Camp via Lis­pole and An­nascaul and re­turn­ing to Din­gle via The Conor Pass.

Par­tic­i­pants will then have a short break at the Pobalscoil be­fore con­tin­u­ing via Ven­try to Slea Head, Bal­ly­fer­riter, Cuas and back to Din­gle.

The to­tal dis­tance is 120km but those who are less fit have the op­tion of the 55km ‘Slea Head Chal­lenge’, which starts shortly af­ter the main event.

The early book­ing cost is €15 for stu­dents; €20 for mem­bers of Cy­cling Ire­land and €25 for non-mem­bers. There’s a small ad­di­tional on­line trans­ac­tion fee.
