Ready, set, Lip-Sing!
FOLLOWING up on their hugely success ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ event last year, Churchill GAA are back again with another huge fund-raising event.
The club will host their very first ‘Lip Sing Battle’ next month, a night which will see 11 contestants taking to the stage for a night of singing and dancing. The event is all set to take place in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel on the night of Sunday, May 6.
Under the watchful eye of Jackie O’Mahony, the willing singers have all grown in confidence over the past few weeks and were full of beans at the launch of the event in the Oyster Tavern on Friday night.
“If it’s anything like last year, then we’re in for a good night. We have a fine crew of people here who are ready to put on a show,” said Noel Dillon, speaking to The Kerryman at the launch.
Michael Healy-Rae TD and Catriona O’Sullivan are confirmed as two of the four judges for the night, which will be a strictly over 18s event – tickets for which are set to cost €20. They can be bought from members of the clubs organising committee or by contacting the club’s Facebook page.
Hurry though; if demand for tickets is anything like it was last year, then you are going to have to act fast to secure them!
