Classic teeing off for autism group
Michael Healy-Rae set to emcee Beaufort’s classic
IT’S set to be a day of golfing fun on Friday April 27 as a charity golf classic tees off at Beaufort Golf Club in aid of St Francis’ Autism Parent Support Group.
The day is set to be filled with amazing golfing fun as teams of three take to the fairways.
The day-trip will include a fabulous meal for each team at a cost of €150 per trio.
Meanwhile, it’s been confirmed that Michael Healy-Rae TD is ready to emcee the live raffle. Coming along to give the politician a helping hand will be Kerry Rose Breda O’Mahoney. The raffle costs just €5 to enter and includes some amazing prizes.
Over 26 prizes will be given away on the night as well as four weekend trips away. All funds will go to St Francis’ Autism Parent Support Group as they work tirelessly to help fund-raise to employ a vitally needed speech and language/music therapist for children. It’s a campaign that comes in the face of HSE cuts, resulting in no SLT service for the pupils. The group is growing bigger and bigger every year meaning that the small group that started just four years ago is able to provide for more children with Autism and provide the necessary services that they vitally need.
Launching the Autism Golf Classic Parents group Supporting children with Autism were Bridgett Looney, Deputy Michael Healy Rae, Sonny Looney and Madeleine Daly which will be held in Beaufort Golf Club on April 27.
