DINGLE V LEGION
Sunday, April 15,
Pairc An Aghsaigh, 2.30pm A REPEAT of a quarter-final meeting in the competition last year that went to a replay that Legion triumphed in at Sunday’s very venue. It was the high point of the club’s year at Championship level though as they need to win here and hope Rathmore don’t beat Kenmare Shamrocks which would mean a three way tie that can only be settled by points difference. A win or a draw and Dingle are through and with the memory of last year’s meeting in mind they will not take Legion’s worth lightly. Winning by 12 points away from home like they did down in Father Breen Park is a great confidence booster while Legion will be very disappointed to have gone down by seven at home to Rathmore. The equation is simplified in that if Legion win they go through on ‘head to head’ provided Rathmore don’t beat Kenmare but you have to feel the aces are with Dingle here knowing a draw at worst will do them to make the Final.
