Kilflynn girls win Shield title at
CUMANN NA MBUNSCOL GIRLS URBAN FINALS
THE Allianz Cumann na mBunscol girls urban finals were played in the Ballymacelligott GAA Club grounds in splendid weather conditions on Wednesday last.
In all three finals were played and all participants gave it their all as they went in search of school honours. The participating teams hadn’t played as many games this year as the competitions were late starting due to the inclement weather during April and early May. This necessitated the playing of some of the Round Robin part of the competition on a Blitz format and therefore the incremental improvement from week to week games wasn’t as evidant as other years as a good percentage of those participating are not involved at club level. Hopefully the natural order of regular games in the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol competitions will be restored following this strange year of fixture congestion.
