Our old forge project is nearing completion. To complete the project we need some vintage farm equipment. If anyone would like to donate the above please contact any member of our Tidy Towns Group. The current judging season is upon us, thanks to everyone who helps to keep our village looking it’s best. We continue to meet every Wednesday at 7.30 pm at the Barracks.

HURLING SKILLS

Congratula­tions to Cillian Murphy, Aaron Whyte and Ray McGrath from Ballyduff N.S who won the team event in the Kerry Primary Schools Hurling Skills Competitio­n. They now go on to represent the county in the Munster Finals in Mallow next Wednesday.

WRITER’S WEEK

Congratula­tions to the following pupils from Ballyduff N.S who won prizes in the Irish Poetry Competitio­n at Listowel’s Writer’s week last week. Niamh Fitzgerald was in 1st place, Aoibhínn O’Connor received second prize while Raonaid Ross was third in this category. Well done also to teacher Shelia Egan.

Volunteer Gardeners Needed for Community Garden Project!

Could you spare a few hours to help create a community garden for local people to enjoy?

If so we would love to hear from you. Tasks include general garden maintenanc­e - everything from path clearance to planting vegetables. A chance to meet new people, enjoy the outdoors and have some fun. Previous garden experience would be useful, however, all that is needed is enthusiasm and a willingnes­s to get involved.
