An Important Notice from the Ballylongford Tidy Towns Committee which states “We posted our entry to the 2018 National Tidy Towns competition Monday 21st May last. Judging will take place anytime in early June. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the village can hopefully increase its marks even further this year. You can help Ballylongford do well in the competition by ensuring that your own property is well presented over the period (including front garden, boundary walls, fences, hedges), and by keeping the footpath and curbside outside of your property weed free and clean. Also, if you are out and about, it would help enormously if you would pick up any litter you come across and put it in the nearest bin. Finally, if you have an hour to spare on any given Tuesday or Thursday evenings, why not join us”. Footnote: As the Referendum is now over an done with, it is of the utmost importance that all posters are removed and taken away from where they were erected around the locality prior to last week’s referendum, oh and don’t forget the Tie Wraps as well.
