1. EXCITING TIMES AT BALLYMAC VINTAGE RALLY

BALLYMAC Vintage Club are set to hold their very first rally and family fun day this weekend and they are inviting everyone out on the day.

The fun starts on the evening of Saturday September 15 at 8pm with a ‘pig on the spit’ followed by music and dance at O’Riada’s bar.

The festivitie­s continue from 12pm on Sunday with a day full of side shows, family fun and games galore - including face painting, tug of war, sheep shearing and bouncy castles.

2. FUN FILLED WEEKEND AT BANNA FORD FAIR

THE Banna Beach Resort and the Kerry Motor Works Tralee are teaming up next weekend to host two days of vintage cars and family fun later this month.

Starting at 4pm on Saturday September 22, there will be a motor run around the ring of North Kerry; this will be followed by a BBQ that evening at the Banna Beach Resort.

Sunday will see all of the cars displayed on the resort grounds - this family fun event will start at 10am; see ‘The Irish Ford Fair’ on Facebook for more informatio­n.

3. INCH BEACH TO HOST TWO RUNS THIS WEEKEND

IT’S all go at Inch Beach this weekend as the beauty spot gets ready to host its own half-marathon and 10k run on Sunday September 16.

The half marathon will start at 10:30am while the 10k run will start an hour later at 11:30am.

The half marathon will cost €40 and the 10k will cost €30 - you can register for the run online at www. annascaul.ie.

4. KIDS HARVEST CYCLE AT ARDFERT SCHOOL

EXERCISE is on the curriculum in Ardfert this weekend as the Kids Cycle takes place this Sunday September 16 at 12pm.

Kids will have the option of doing either a 5km or a 10km cycle on the day; registrati­on will take place at Ardfert NS from 11-11:45am and will cost €10 per child or €25 per family.

5. AUSTRALIAN DUO TO PLAY IN ST JAMES CHURCH

AUSTRALIAN powerhouse Duo Mama Kin Spender will play in St James’s Church in Dingle on the night of September 20.

Mama Kin is an award nominated artist while Tommy Spender has collaborat­ed with Goyte and Kimbra.

6. TABLE QUIZ TO BE HELD IN ASHE’S IN CAMP

THERE will be a table quiz held in Ashe’s in Camp on the night of Friday September 14.

Everyone is welcome on the day with all proceeds going towards trophies and prizes for the Sheep Fair which is just around the corner.

7. HOSPICE FUNDRAISER FASHION SHOW

THE annual celebratin­g ‘Models on Recovery’ charity Autumn/ Winter fashion show will take place on Wednesday September 19 at the INEC in Killarney.

The event will start at 7:30pm sharp, tickets will cost €15 and are on sale in the Rathmore/Gneeveguil­la parish office.

8. NATIONAL FITNESS DAY IN KILLORGLIN

THE Killorglin Sports Complex will later this month offer a number of free sporting activities to the public - all as part of ‘National Fitness Day’.

Taking place all day on in the sports complex on September 27, adults will have the chance to try their hand at free activities such as spin classes, pilates, yoga, badminton, soccer, walking, karate and indoor hockey.

9. KERRY CULTURE NIGHT JUST AROUND CORNER

FRIDAY September 21 marks the arrival of another night of culture here in Kerry as the annual ‘Culture Night’ takes place all around the county.

From guided tours of local history, open galleries. silent readings, painting workshops and much more, there will be something for everyone enjoy on the night.

10. GET EXERCISING THIS WEEKEND WITH PARKRUN

WHY not try to head down to take part in one of the many parkruns taking place around Kerry at the weekends?

There are five parkruns in Kerry: Tralee, Killarney, Listowel, Inch Beach and the Tralee junior parkrun.

These free 5km events are run every weekend by volunteers and they have been proven to be extremely popular in improving both physical and mental health.

The Tralee. Listowel and Killarney parkruns are held every Saturday morning from 9:30am onwards while the Tralee Junior parkrun takes place on Sunday at 9:30am - these 2km events are aged for children from 4-14 years old.

People can register and print off their barcode at parkrun.ie.
