THIS was always going to be a tight game and the sides had to settle for a point each at the end in a keenly contested encounter. Thomas Burke was the Tralee Dynamos scorer.

DENNY PREMIER B

Camp United 3 QPR 2

THIS game between two of the title contenders in this division was a very competitiv­e encounter and it was Camp United who collected the three points. Fionn Coakley, Johnny O’Driscoll and Fintan Herlihy scored for the West Kerry side. This win moved them Camp to the top of the table three points ahead of Castleisla­nd B and CG Killarney. Paul Cooney and James Dennehy scored for QPR.

DENNY DIVISION 1A

Strand Road 3 Listowel Celtic B 6

NEWLY promoted Listowel Celtic move up to joint-second in the table with a very impressive win over Strand Road. Stephen McCarthy and Aidan Quinn scored twice while Niall Downey completed the scoring fo the Fealesider­s. Brian Hill (2) and Danny Feehan scored for Strand Road.

DENNY DIVISION 1B

St Brendans Park 5 Inter Kenmare 0

THIS was a test for two sides who will be hoping to be involved in the title race in this division and The Park had a surprising­ly easy win over Inter Kenmare.

Sean McGrath scored a hat trick for the winners with Adam Ward adding two more for good measure

Castlemain­e United 0 Windmill United 2

WINDMILL’S good start to the season continued at Mounthawk Park on Friday night with a good win over Castlemain­e United. Paudie Bailey scored both goals for the Blennervil­le side.

Castlegreg­ory Celtic 5 Killorglin B 2

CASTLEGREG­ORY’S faultless start to the new season continued in West Kerry on Sunday when they extended their 100% record to six games after a hard earned win over Killorglin B.

After a tight first half Castlegreg­ory moved up a gear in the second half and ran out comfortabl­e winners at the end.

After going a goal down after just three minutes Killorglin fought back with Brendan Ahern equalising in the 29th minute at it was 1-1 at half time.

Two early second half strikes put Castlegreg­ory ahead 3-1 but Killorglin fought back again with Sean Costello heading home from a corner kick.

They thought they had equalised in the 78th minute when Aidan O’Sullivan found the net but the goal was not given despite players protests.

They had a glorious chance to equalise shortly afterwards when they were awarded a penalty but Dylan Joy’s spot kick was saved by the Castlegreg­ory goalkeeper. Castlegreg­ory added two more goals to add to Killorglin’s woes and secured the three points.

Brandon Hoare (2), Enda Whelan, Maurice Slattery and Shane Kenny scored for the winners.

DENNY DIVISION 2B

Manor West 1 Kilmoyley FC 5

KILMOYLEY’S whirlwind start to the season continued on Sunday recording their fifth successive win against new recruits Manor Park FC. The man of the match for the winners was ace marksman Jordan Brick who netted a hat trick. Daniel Collins and Sean Maunsell were also on the scoresheet for the winners. Graham O’Leary was the Manor West scorer.

Ballyheigu­e Athletic B 4 Lisard Wanderers 2

BALLYHEIGU­E took the three points after a 4-2 win over Lisard Wanderers. Padraig Behan (2), Conor Galway and Mark O’Regan scored for the winners. Hayden Fitzgerald and Jonathan Boulding scored for Lisard.
