KILLARNEY Celtic were on the back foot from early on away to Caherdavin Celtic and needed keeper Callum Cronin and their defence to keep the home side at bay.

Fiachra Roarty did go close for the Kerry side but then Caherdavin broke and took the lead following a long ball over the top. A second quickly followed and the Limerick side wrapped up the win late in the seocnd half as Celtic were pushing hard to get back into the game.

Killorglin are also out going down 3-1 away to Avenue United in Clare. The home side led 1-0 at half-time and then got a second when the Killorglin defence was looking for an off-side flag that didn’t come.

They then chased the game and were unlucky not to get the goal back and conceded the third with the last kick of the game as Avenue broke away with Killorglin committed to attack.
