POLLINATOR PROJECT

This project, which seeks to enhance the village of Lixnaw and the surrounding areas, through voluntary effort, was started this Summer by a couple of local people who hope to establish a community garden and recycling scheme to achieve the above goal. With the support of Ann Hilliard, Principal of Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál, and the staff at the school, we have begun the process of converting an unused shed at the front of the school yard, adjacent to the public road and separate to the playground area, into a Greenhouse.

This work involved removing the contents of the shed and then power-washing the shed interior and exterior, as well as the yard between the shed and the school building. Following this, the whole
