St Brendan’s Fenit win high scoring final against Barraduff

St. Brendan’s Fenit 6-9 Barraduff NS 2-6
IN the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol 4/5 Teacher final this St. Brendan’s squad from Fenit were in devastating form and produced a top class performance to claim their first cup title.
Having won the Shield last year with a young team they really blossomed this year and were convincing winners in all of their games on route to the final. Barraduff the East Kerry champions tried their best but found the free flowing attacking football of the Fenit team difficult to break down and trailed 3-4 to 0-2 at the break.
Barraduff came more and more into the game in the second half but with outstanding performers in captain Ryan Hickey, Billy Doyle, Hugh and Maurice Lenihan St. Brendan’s were not to be denied their first title.
For Barraduff Daniel Murphy, Diarmaid Furlong and Pierce Moynihan were best.
