JUVENILE HURLING CLUB: Congratulations to Daire Nolan, who played Full Back and Ronan Walsh who played Midfield for Causeway Comprehensive School who were victorious in the Vocational School U16 1/2 Munster Final against Blackwater, Lismore, Co Waterford this week on a scoreline of 4-11 to 3-9. Well done to all involved. AGM: The club AGM will take place in the clubrooms on Monday 17th December at 7:30pm. Nominations and Motions can be submitted to the Secretary, John Nolan by Friday 7th December. WEESHIE FOGARTY: It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing this week of a Kerry broadcasting icon, Weeshie Fogarty. Weeshie may be better remembered nationwide for his commentary on Kerry football games, but in Kilmoyley he will live long in the memory for one game in particular - the 2003 Munster league final in which Kilmoyley defeated Na Piarsaigh of Cork at Fitzgerald stadium.For those who were fortunate enough to have attended that game on the 22nd November 2003, the only other remaining memory of the final is Weeshie’s match reports on Radio Kerry, as unfortunately there was no video was taken of the game. But how brilliantly he captured the emotion of the game and the sense of the occasion in his own style.
