LIGHT TO REMEMBER
Kerry Hospice Foundation and University Hospital Kerry come together to host a Light to Remember Ceremony. For the first time, University Hospital Kerry and Kerry Hospice Foundation are together hosting a special Christmas event which will also support the continuous wonderful work of the Kerry Hospice Foundation. Deirdre Walsh of Radio Kerry officially launched the Light to Remember Memorial Christmas Tree.
A Light to Remember Memorial Christmas Tree Ceremony will take place on Sunday 2nd December 2018 on the grounds of University Hospital Kerry. The ceremony will commence at 5 pm with light refreshments and entertainment provided. The official turning on of the lights will be at 5.30 pm. This is an open invitation to anyone who would like to participate in this special Christmas remembrance ceremony.
It offers an unique opportunity to sponsor a dedicated light on the Light to Remember Christmas Tree honouring someone special in your life living and those no longer with us. Lights can be sponsored from now until Christmas.

A group from the AIB branches called in to the new Inpatient Unit today to present a cheque for over €2100. They held coffee mornings in some of their branches over the last couple of weeks. A huge thank you to all the staff who took part and organised such events and we are very grateful to all who supported on the day
QUIZ
We would like to thank Jade Moynihan who held a very successful quiz on Wednesday night last. She had a huge turnout and all was done in memory of Ted Moynihan. Thank you and especially to all who supported in any way.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Trad for Charity will be held in the West End on the 25 h of November at 6 pm. Always a great night and fantastic entertainment throughout.
Killarney Cougars Basketball will take on St Ambrose University in the Pres Gym Hall on 22nd of November at 7pm. All proceeds will go to the KHF.
BASKETBALL MARATHON
That time of year again folks where the gang in Imperials club will run their very successful basketball marathon. The clubs has raised huge funds for the Kerry Hospice Foundation over the years and will take to the floor again this year on the 15th of December. More info to follow.
BIRD SOCIETY
Congratulations to Nicole and her uncle Alan who once again won awards for their birds at the Kilkenny Show Birds Competition. Competition is very stiff. It takes huge commitment and dedication to prepare birds to show at competition. Birds are judged on condition steadiness, clarity of colour, markings and form.
CRAFT FAIR
Ballyduff Craft Fair will take place in Ballyduff Community Centre on Sunday 25th November from 11am to 5pm thank you.
CAUSEWAY BADMINTON CLUB
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 pm until 11 pm in Causeway Sports Complex. Beginners are welcome. Why not come and try a new sport this winter. Basic skills and rules of the game are explained and rackets are available if you do not own one.
SOCCER
After a break of three weeks, Kilmoyley Athletic continued their excellent start of the season as they enjoyed a 4-2 win over CS Abbeydorney at Mounthawk park on Sunday. For the first time this season, Kilmoyley trailed in a game early on, but rallied with goals from James Godley (2), Daniel Collins and Jordan Brick to secure their sixth win. Athletics are in league action again this Friday at 7:30pm against Ballyheigue Athletic B in Mounthawk park. and everyone from other areas are welcome to attend.

PADRE PIO
Lixnaw prayer meeting will be on November 20th (3rd Tuesday) and will be dedicated to our dead. The witness will be given by Fr. Mossie Brick. The relic which incorporates Padre Pio’s Heart bandage will be available for blessings after mass.

DEATHS
The death occureed of Michael Barry, died Manchester late of Derry, Listowel.
DEATH has occurred of Sr. M. Ita O’Connor (Sr. M. Ita) Convent of Mercy, Castletownbere, Co. Cork and formerly of Duagh, Co. Kerry, on the 9th November 2018, in the loving care of the sisters and staff of Catherine McAuley Nursing Home, Beaumont Dublin. Predeceased by her sister Catherine (Ryan), brothers Dan, Tom and Denis. Sadly missed by her loving family, brother Johnny (USA), The Mercy Sisters, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, brother-in-law Michael, sister-in-law Eileen, former colleagues and students in Scoil Phobail Bhéara, relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass on Monday, November 12th, at 12 noon in St. Brigid’s Church, Duagh followed by burial in Springmount Cemetery, Duagh.
DEATH has taken place of Ann Barry (née Stack) of Scartlea, Listowel. Ann passed away on 12th November 2018. Loving wife of Mikey and cherished mother of P J and Gerald. Predeceased by her brother Martin. Will be sadly missed by her family, daughters in law Christina and Ciara, loving grandchildren Sean, Nathan, Emma, Saoirse and Fiadh, sister in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces grandnephew, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Requiem Mass on Thursday at St Mary’s Church Listowel was celebrated for Ann. Burial afterwards in John Paul II Cemetery, Ballybunion Road, Listowel.
