Plans for flood relief in Listowel made public
MEMBERS of the public in Listowel have until January 4 to view new plans to alleviate flooding in the centre of the town.
Plans for the Clieveragh Flood Relief Scheme in Listowel went out to public consultation this week under the ‘part 8’ process required for planning of projects of its kind by local authorities.
Kerry County Council has applied for planning for the flood relief scheme in the townlands of Clieveragh and Curraghtoosane – subject of serious problems at times of heavy rain and where at least one family have been forced to quit their home on a number of occasions over flooding.
