Passing of popular Killarney woman Bridie

-

THERE is deep sadness in Killarney this week following the passing of well-known business woman, Bridie O’Sullivan. A native of Ceathrú Thaidhg in County Mayo, Bridie is the wife of Eddie, and together the couple and their family ran the popular Tatler Jack pub in Plunkett Street for many years.

Bridie also loved her football and over the years enjoyed the exciting moments watching Kerry and Dr Crokes winning All-Irelands. Eddie is a former selector with Kerry and the Crokes, while her son, Patrick, is a former Chairman of the Kerry County Committee. Her son-in-law, Pat O’Shea, is the current Dr Crokes manager and a past All-Ireland-winning manager with Kerry in 2007.

Bridie is survived by her husband, Eddie; their four children, Patrick, Edmund, Noreen and Deborah Ann; in-laws; and relatives.

Reposal is at O’Shea’s Funeral Home, Killarney, on Wednesday evening from 7.15pm to 9pm. Removal is afterwards to St Mary’s Cathedral, and Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday at 12pm, with burial afterwards in Aghadoe Lawn Cemetery.
