The Kerryman (North Kerry)

BEALE

-

Beale minors came up short against Emmets by the bare minimum in the final of the North Kerry Championship, Division 1, on Sunday in Brosna. We got off to a great start and a well-engineered goal coming up to the short whistle sent us in at the interval six points to the good, 2-4 to 0-4.

A strong cross-field wind made the next fifteen minutes of play rather difficult for our boys as Emmets sent over the points and levelled in the twelfth minute. They then went on to stretch their lead by three points before we finally got on the scoreboard in the 25th minute. We added another point and desperately sought that elusive score. Goal mouth drama as the clock ticked ended unfruitful and we were a point adrift at the final whistle, 2-6 to 0-13.
