There was no winner of the 2nd December lotto jackpot of €2300 the numbers drawn were 5,6,24,27. The €35 was won by Bernie Mc Kenna, Lyre and the €20 was won by Thomas Sheehy, Lyre. The four sets of free tickets for €2450 lotto jackpot next week were won by Johnny Mulvihill, James Keane, Jane Behan, Rathea and Brady Monaghan, Lyre. The second name out for the Special Christmas Draw was won by Tom Enright, Lyre The Christmas draw will take place on Saturday 22nd December in Roches Bar.

MONSTER HAMPERS

Lyreacrompane Community Development are holding their Annual Christmas Hamper Draw this year in aid of Lyracrompane National School. 1st prize hamper value €200 and 2nd prize hamper value €100. Tickets are €5 per strip available now at Nolan’s Post Office and Roche’s Bar. The draw will take place on Saturday 22nd December at the Lotto Christmas Party.

CHRISTMAS PLAY

Lyreacrompane National School presents The Grinch Lyreacrompane Style on Thursday 13th December at 6p.m. in Lyreacrompane Resource Centre. Door Prize and lucky dips on the night. Shop available. Admission €5 under 12 years free. Raffle tickets for Giant Hampers by Lyreacrompane Community Development in aid of Lyre National School will be on sale on the night. RETIREMENT

Best wishes is extended to Sean O’Connell on his retirement from An Post. Sean has been our postman for the past 38 years. We would like to extend our sincere thanks for his service to our community and wish him a healthy happy retirement.

WEDDING

Congratulations to Noranne Kelly, daughter of Chris and Mary Kelly, Lyreacrompane and Daniel Mc Dermot, son of Sean Mc Dermot and Patricia Horgan, Newcastlewest who were married recently in the Sacred Heart Church, Lyreacrompane. Fr Jack O’Donnell officiated the ceremony. Best man was Padraig Keane and grooms man was Christopher Keane, Bridesmaids were Patricia Lynch and Katie Keane. The reception was held in the Listowel Arms Hotel and the couple will reside in Newcasstlewest.
