DEATHS
The death took place of Patrick (Paddy) Behan of 10 Doonard Crescent, Tarbert and late of Dane Street, Shanagolden, Co. Limerick. Paddy who was in his mid 70’s died on Friday 23rd. November in Tralee Palliative Care Unit. His remains reposed at Madigan’s Funeral Home, Shanagolden on Sunday and were removed to Shanagolden Parish Church. Requiem Mass took place on Monday followed by burial in the local cemetery. He was pre-deceased by his wife Liz also a native of Shanagolden. Paddy moved to Tarbert over 40 years ago to work as a fitter at the newly commissioned ESB Power Station. He retired some years ago as mechanical supervisor at the plant.
Sympathy of the community is extended to his son Alan, daughter Sandra, brothers, sisters, grandchild Shay, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Beannacht Dé le anam na marbh.
CHRISTMASLIGHTS
The Christmas Lights and Christmas tree will be switched on Saturday night at 6.45pm. The switch on will be performed by the winners of the Junior Art competition whose entries will be on display in the Community Centre. The Carol singing will be led by the Youth Club. Thanks to the Development Association who funded the lights and John Paul Collins who sponsored the tree and to those who put them up.
