Man (66) accused of possessing child porn
A MAN has been sent forward for trial at the next sitting of Tralee Circuit Court on six charges of possessing child pornography.
Stephen Day, 47 Moyderwell, Tralee, is accused of having been in possession of child pornography images on six separate devices at his home address on October 8 of 2012. The case came before Judge David Waters at Listowel District Court on Thursday, who was informed that the Director of Public Prosecutions had consented for Mr Day to be tried by indictment at the Circuit Court.
Judge Waters sent Mr Day (66) forward for trial. He was remanded on bail on his own bond of €200.
Legal aid was granted at a previous date, the court heard.
