The Killorglin Christmas countdown is on

-

CHRISTMAS in Killorglin began with a twinkle and a smile with lots of family entertainment in Library Place, Killorglin last week. The Fame Stage School performed a lovely Nativity play which was followed by DJ Donal and a Bouncy Castle. Santa arrived shortly after 3pm to meet all the girls and boys with goodie bags for everyone, while mince pies and some other niceties kept everyone in the festive spirit.

The Killorglin Traders, Killorglin Chamber Alliance and Kerry County Council put a huge effort into hosting Christmas in the town each year and this is reciprocated by the shops who have super discounts and bargains available in the countdown to Christmas.

The Chamber Alliance is urging shoppers to celebrate locally this year and help ‘ keep Christmas in Killorglin’.

The stores have some fantastic gifts and the ladies will always welcome a voucher from their favourite hairdresser or pharmacist. Sandra’s Star Gifts and Moriarty’s Pop-Up Christmas Shop on Iveragh Road is always a popular spot with some amazing Christmas table displays and decorations.

Joe O’Shea’s Toy Emporium on lower Bridge Street is an Aladdin’s Cave for kids, and The Brand Geeks is a welcome new neighbour. Chris will be glad to work on your Corporate Christmas image and gifts! All of your food, poultry and meat requirements are catered for with the myriad of craft butchers and supermarkets. If you have diamonds in mind then a visit to Finnegan’s on Upper Bridge Street will have you sparkling.

Moreover, Christmas would not be complete without a visit to Boyles Hardware on Iveragh Road. Boyles will have festive flower arranging, eye catching decorations, discounts throughout the store - and even a free dog groomer to ensure your pooch is in top condition for the season.

Killorglin is a fantastic town in which to celebrate and it’s central, mid Kerry location means that everyone can travel to its fabulous award winning restaurants and pubs to celebrate Christmas in style. One will find sumptuous Christmas menus available at all venues, with live music and super fun guaranteed. Killorglin makes memories that last forever. Keep it local this year.
