The whiskey was won by Tom O’Connor and the voucher by Mary Dowling. The third name out for the Special Christmas Draw was won by Angela Breen, Dromadda, Lyre The Christmas draw will take place on Saturday 22nd December in Roches Bar.

MONSTER HAMPERS

Lyreacromp­ane Community Developmen­t are holding their Annual Christmas Hamper Draw this year in aid of Lyracrompa­ne National School. 1st prize hamper value €200 and 2nd prize hamper value €100. Tickets are €5 per strip available now at Nolan’s Post Office and Roche’s Bar. The draw will take place on Saturday 22nd December at the Lotto Christmas Party.

CHRISTMAS PLAY

Lyreacromp­ane National School presents "The Grinch Lyreacromp­ane Style" on Thursday 13th December at 6p.m. in Lyreacromp­ane Resource Centre. Raffle, door prize and lucky dips on the night. Shop available. Admission €5 under 12 years free. Raffle tickets for Giant Hampers by Lyreacromp­ane Community Developmen­t in aid of Lyre National School will be on sale on the night. So why not come along and join us and get the festive season off to a good start.

The well known musical duet of Jackie Daly on accordion and Matt Cranitch on fiddle will perform a concert in Bruach na Carraige, Rockchapel on this Saturday night, December 15th at 8pm. This duo will play the best of Sliabh Luchra music and all are welcome.

RACE NIGHT

This Friday night is an important occasion for our local GAA Club as the annual video race night will be held in Tommy Mick’s Bar, Mountcolli­ns. This is an important fund raiser for the club with all proceeds going towards funding the cost of the under age and adult activities for the 2019 season.

The night will have a ten race programme plus a grand auction race and raffle. A tote will be in operation and generous prizes will be on offer for the various winners. The club has received great support from our generous sponsors and parishione­rs and we look forward to a big attendance on Friday night.

GAA LOTTO

The numbers drawn in last weeks Mountcolli­ns/Tournafull­a GAA clubs lotto were 3, 7, 17 and 27. There was no winner of the jackpot prize. Lucky dips went to Kathleen Lenihan, Mountcolli­ns, Johnny O Connell, Mountcolli­ns, Francis Collins, Tournafull­a and Tara Costello, Tournafull­a. The promoters prize went to Norma Gleeson. This weeks draw will be held in the Goalpost Bar, Tournafull­a where the jackpot will be €4,200.

CARD GAME

The winners of first prize at last weeks card game were Kathleen Lenihan, Dan Reidy and Jack Sullivan. In runners up position were the team of Pat Fitzgerald, Jackie Hartnett and Noel Murphy. The door prize was won by Florence O Connell. The table prize went the team of Connie Brouder, Jackie Joe O Donnell and Mike O Donnell with raffle prizes going to John O Connell, Larry McAuliffe, Teddy O Sullivan, Ann Cahill and Jimmy O Connell.

Cards as usual on this Thursday night at 9pm and all are welcome.
