Taxi clocks up a pricey trip to Dingle

IT appears that money is no object for some people when they have to get to Dingle.

According to a report produced by Lynk taxis on exceptional occurrences in their business during 2018, their most expensive taxi journey involved carrying musicians from Artane to Dingle. The metered cost of the one-way trip was €673.60 but the taxi company told The Kerryman this week that the driver cut a deal on the fare - and that must have been music to the ears of his passengers.
