COOLARD NS ENROLMENT:

Enrolment for the school year commencing September 2019 opens on Monday next, January 14th and continues until Friday, January 25th. Application forms will be available from the school for parents/guardians who wish to enrol their children.

LISSELTON ROVERS:

The Lisselton Rovers Soccer Club (pre-cursor to LB Rovers) express its sympathy to the family of the late Mary Kiely, Tarbert. Mary, along with her great friend, the late Sheila Barry, never missed a game. Travelling long distances never bothered them to show their support for the local team. Mary was also one of the earlier sponsors of jerseys for Lisselton Rovers. May she rest in peace.

CCE:

Wishing all our members a very Happy New Year and all the best in 2019.

Well done to all our young musicians who played for the Ballydonoghue Bardic Festival Christmas Market at the Thatch on Dec 15th. It was most enjoyable afternoon for all.

Also over the Christmas break a fantastic Irish night was held in Brosnan’s Bar, Listowel on the 27th. On the night, presentations from the branch were made to All Ireland Medalist, Conor Heaphy and all 22 other musicians, U12 and U15 Grúpaí Cheoil, who participated in this years All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Drogheda.

The Music Session and Song continued into the early hours. In the session we were joined by members of the Peral River Branch of Comhaltas New York who were home on holiday. Thank you to the Brosnan family and staff for the hospitality, food and refreshments served on the night.

Great to see all the young Wrenboys from our branch out on St. Stephens Day around the parish and beyond. The tradition is well and truly alive in North Kerry.

Well done to our U12 Mixed Set Dancers on their appearance on TG4 Ríl Deal televised on 23rd Dec.

Music, Set Dancing and Step-Dancing will resume this week with their respective teachers on their usual days and times.

A busy few months ahead with set and music competitions. The branch concert will taking place mid February.
