ARDFERT

Our next event is the local history lecture this Thursday January 10th at Ardfert Retreat Centre, when historian Tim Horgan will speak on ‘Ardfert during the War of Independence’. A big crowd is expected & people are asked to come early for the lecture. There is no formal charge to attend but donations are accepted at the door, which go towards the upkeep of the Retreat Centre.
The committee is also inviting our members to get involved in recording & documenting the life stories of some of Ardfert’s senior citizens. If anybody is interested in lending a hand, please contact Steve Baker at Ardfert Printing or contact us by email at ardferthistoricalsociety@gmail.com . We look forward to hearing from you.
