ACTIVE RETIREMENT

Ballybunion Active Retirement would like to thank the Kerry County Council, Department of Rural and Community Development, for their recent grant award to our local association. The grant has provided us with 3 locking storage cabinets to be kept at the Old Convent where our weekly meetings and clubs take place. The grant funding is making it possible for us to readily access our social, sports and art equipment. We are very appreciative of the support the Department of Rural and Community Development has extended to the Ballybunion retirees that are members of our local Active Retirement Association.

TIDY TOWNS

Ballybunion Tidy Towns would like to thank the Department of Rural and Community Development at Kerry County Council for their recent generous grant funding. The award will provide our community with replacements of the town park’s 4 wooden picnic tables. The new tables and accompanying benches are made of beautiful granite and will require no on-going maintenance. The tables, topped with inlaid chess boards, will provide many hours of enjoyment for local community members and visitors alike. The benches will also be placed so that buggies and wheelchairs will have usage access. As the weather warms up Ballybunion Tidy Towns hopes everyone will enjoy the new additions to the Children’s Playground area in the Town Park.
