He was aged 81 and was son of the late Tom and Bridget(née Fitzgerald) Foley. Reposing was at Harnett’s Funeral Home on Thursday evening. After requiem mass on Friday in Templeglan­tine Church burial took place in Reilig na Tríonóide. Michael is survived by his wife, Joan, sons Thomas, John, Pádraig (Sam) and Micheál, daughters Breda, Íde and Siobhán, brothers Tony and Thomas, sisters Bet (Sr. Cecelia C.P.), Anne and Daisy and other relatives. Condolence­s to Pat O’ Shaughness­y and family, Barnagh, on the death of his sister Joan Roche, Knocknadih­a, Tournafull­a on Saturday, December 22. Reposing took place at the Roche family Funeral Home on St Stephen’s Day followed by removal to Tournafull­a Church. After requiem mass on Thursday burial took place in the adjoining cemetery. The daily mass schedule for this week is, Monday 10am, Tuesday to Friday 11am with Fr Hurley. Saturday 6pm, Sunday 10am.The Anniversar­y mass for James Roche and Seán Collins, Tullig South and Gerard O’Donnell, Meenoline was celebrated on Saturday evening last and on Sunday the Month’s Mind Mass for Neilus Cotter, Barnagh took place. Wishing all our members a very happy New Year and all the best in 2019.

Well done to all our young musicians who played for the Christmas market at the Thatch on Dec 16th.It was most enjoyable afternoon for all.

Also over the Christmas break a fantastic Irish night was held in Brosnans Bar Listowel on the 27th.On the night presentati­ons from the branch were made to All Ireland medalist Conor Heaphy and all 22 other musician u12 and u15 Grúpaí Cheoil who participat­ed in this years All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Drogheda. The music Session and Song continued into the early hours. In the session we were joined by members of the Peral River Branch of Comhaltas New York who were home on holiday. Thank you to the Brosnan family and staff for the hospitalit­y, food and refreshmen­ts served on the night.

Great to see all the young Wrenboys from our branch out on St. Stephan’s day around the parish and beyond.The tradition is well and truly alive in North Kerry.

Well done to our U12 mixed Set dancers on their appearance on TG4 Ríl Deal televised on 23rd Dec.
