Ladies players Lorraine Scanlon Andrea Murphy Eilish Lynch Aislinn o Connell and Robyn White who were on the Kerry ladies team that played Clare in the first round of the league on Sunday ANNUAL SOCIAL: The 57th annual Kilmoyley GAA social was held at Ballyroe Heights hotel on Friday. Once again a great night was enjoyed by all in attendance from the wonderful food to the entertainm­ent with DJ Big Jim ensuring the dance floor was never empty. Michael McCarthy of the Kerry Wedding store provided green and gold sashes to have the room looking splendid. The club Hall of Fame award was presented to Michael Curran, Lerrig who was a long time servant with the club from senior winning captain with Kilmoyley to training an All-Ireland Féile team. Other awards presented on the night were the Senior Player of the Year to Kieran McCarthy while James McCarthy was Intermedia­te Player of the Year. The Intermedia­te players received their North Kerry league and championsh­ip medals while the senior team was also presented with their North Kerry medals. Camogie Cillard Camogie club Registrati­on Night takes place on Friday 8th February from 7pm to 9 pm in Kilmoyley Community Care Centre - all ages and levels welcome. U6 to U16 teams. Registrati­on is for existing players and beginners. incorrect. The 2019 Coiste na nOg officers are: chairman John McCarthy, secretary Teresa Conway and PRO Nicola O’Brien. SENIOR CLUB: A number of positions, vacant since the AGM were filled at the recent club meeting. Geraldine Shannon will continue as children’ officer and James Flahery was appointed as Health and Wellbeing officer. The positions of PRO and Scor officer remain to be filled. Tommy Molyneaux takes over as manager of the senior hurlers as well as the under-21’s and Joseph Shanahan is minor team manager. Mark Foley has committed to Lixnaw as senior coach/ trainer again for the coming year. Padraig McCarthy and Pat Lyons remain with the Intermedia­tes with the remainder of the management to be be confirmed The positions of team selectors for all panels will be finalised over the coming weeks.

KERRY HURLERS: John Buckley, Martin Stackpoole and Shane Conway were in action for Kerry hurlers over the weekend. Unfortunat­ely, on this occasion they went down to Westmeath at Austin Stack Park on a score line of 4-13 to 2- 17. Having led by 6 points on the fifty three minute mark, they succumbed to a strong Westmeath finish in which the visitors scored three goals.
