LOTTO: The first draw of 2019 was held in the Shoemakers on Saturday night. The numbers drawn were 2, 11, 12 and 28. There was no winner of the jackpot of €5,600. Lucky dip prizes were won by Amy Crowley, KIlcow (€30) and €20 each to Linda Kennedy, Knockanali­g; Garrett McCarthy, Kilcow; Jeremy Burke and John McCarthy, Castleisla­nd. Our thanks to Steve, Nuala and staff in the Shoemakers and to Jim Lordan who supervised the draw. FIXTURES: The Seniors play the next round of the North Kerry league on Sunday week, 17th v Listowel in Castleisla­nd at 2.00 p.m. The Minors have their first outing of the year the previous day, Saturday 16th v Milltown/Castlemain­e at 3.00 also at home.

SCOR na bPaisti: SCOR is a GAA organised competitio­n that seeks to promote Irish music, singing and dance. Scor na bPaisti is limited to pupils in National schools. Competitio­ns will be organised in the following categories - Table Quiz, Solo Singing, Recreation/Story telling, Ballad groups, Instrument­al music, Set dancing etc. The semi finals will be held in Castleisla­nd on Saturday, March 23rd with the finals scheduled for Sunday, April 6th.
