SCHOOL NEWS
Pupils from Kilmoyley National School were delighted to participate in the second annual primary schools indoor sports organised by St. Brendan’s AC. The event which took place in Causeway was a great success. The best overall school was Ardfert NS followed closely by Spa NS and Kilmoyley NS. Many thanks to David Kissane and St. Brendan’s AC for organising the event.
Catholic Schools Week 2019: On Tuesday 29th January Deacon, Reverend Francis White visited Kilmoyley National School and assisted in a beautiful Prayer Service that celebrated our Catholic traditions and faith. We remembered St. Brigid and St. Blaise. It was wonderful to have Reverend Francis present and thank you to school principal Mrs Áine Crowe and staff for organising the event. Thank you to Noelle for leading us in song and beautiful music which lifted everyone’s spirit.

It was another successful day out for Kilmoyley Athletic in the league as they defeated Lisard Wanderers 5-2. The game was competitive until the final stages but goals from Colman Savage, Daniel Collins and a hatrick from Jordan Brick gave Kilmoyley the win. DEATH has taken place of James Harnett, Magheramore, Wicklow, and formerly of Kilmorna, Kerry, on 25th January 2019. Grandfather of the late Ameera and brother of the late Breda (Grummell) and Oliver. Survived by his wife Trish, sons Stephen and Bobby, daughter Orla, sonin-law Tommy, grandchildren J.J., Niall, Zoe, Vikki, Freddie and Arthur, brothers Maurice, Pat and Joe, brothers-in-law, sisters-inlaw, nieces, and nephews. Removal on Sunday 27th January to Star of the Sea Church, Brittas Bay. Funeral Mass on Monday, followed by burial in Three Mile Water Cemetery.
