- By SINEAD KELLEHER

A MAN who was caught selling lotto tickets for the Hanly Centre without a permit was given the benefit of the probation act at Listowel District Court last week.

John Mongon of 9 Chestnut Gardens, Newcastlewest, County Limerick, had been detected by gardaí in May 2012. He had moved to the UK for a time but had come from Galway to face the charge last week. His solicitor, Pat Enright, said that Mr Mongon had addiction problems and had been working with the Hanly Centre but had come off the register and had not returned the tickets.
