L OTT O: The draw for the GAA lotto jackpot of €4,050 took place on Monday the 4th of February in Kate Pats Bar. The numbers drawn were 6, 11, 17, 31. There was no jackpot winner. Lucky dip winners included Irene and Danny (Mountcolli­ns) €50, promotor Ian Walsh (Brosna), Michael Cahill (Abbeyfeale) €20, Batt Walsh (Brosna) €20, Marian Leahy (Brosna) €20 and David O’Connor (Brosna) €20. The next lotto jackpot will be €4,200 and will take place on Monday the 11th of February in Flanagans Bar. NORTH KERRY LEAGUE: Brosna seniors began their 2019 campaign with a hard fought victory over Beale in the North Kerry league on a scoreline of Brosna 3-8 Beale 3-3. Well done to all players and management on the win and we wish them the very best of luck as they continue there peperation­s for the year ahead. Well done to Josh Innes who made is first senior appearance for the club and put in a brilliant performanc­e at wing back.

A commemorat­ion of Bartholome­w ‘Batt’ O’Connor takes place this Sunday at 2 pm in the square Brosna. Batt was a close confidant and friend of Michael Collins. Batt was elected a T.D in March 1924 and was a founding member of the Fine Gael Party establishe­d in 1933. Batt O’Connor died on the 7th of February 1935. KERRY U-14 DEVELOPMEN­T SQUAD: Brosna GAA would like to congratula­te Jack O’Sullivan on making the North Kerry U14 Developmen­t Squad. This is a great achievemen­t for Jack and we want to wish him the best going forward when North and West Kerry join to form the North Kerry Squad. Also well done to all of those that attended from Brosna the Developmen­t Squad training sessions, we want to thank you for your efforts.
